I'm here to help you with....
Nipple and breast pain - Whether it's caused by positioning, anatomy, technique or infection, we'll get to the bottom of it.
Low Milk Supply - Your baby always seems to want more? We'll determine how much milk you make and how much your baby needs, then develop a personalized plan of action.
Latching/Fussy at Breast - Baby won't latch, or seems fussy at the breast? There are many possible causes for this behavior. We'll sort it out and give you practical advice to make breastfeeding enjoyable for both you and baby.
Slow Weight Gain/Weight Loss - If your baby isn't gaining weight appropriately, it is important to quickly find out why and solve the problem.
Breast Reduction - A breast reduction doesn't mean you can't breastfeed. Personalized support will ensure you reach your full milk-making potential.
Implants - If you had minimal breast tissue before getting implants, you will need close support in the early days of breastfeeding. For the most part, implants are compatible with breastfeeding, you just need to be aware of some common (preventable) issues that come with them.
Multiples- You will make enough milk for all of your babies. Even Octomom could have breastfed if she'd wanted to! We'll help you develop a feeding plan and learn positions compatible with multiple babies.
History of lactation failure - We'll explore why you couldn't produce enough milk in the past and create a plan to increase your milk supply this time around.
Premies - Breast milk is essential for premature infants. It reduces risk of infection, increases brain and eye development...the list goes on and on. We'll help you provide your baby (or babies) with the nutrition they need.
Induced lactation - Adoption, surrogacy, prolonged illness, helping out a sister, a daughter or a partner…it is all possible!
Going Back to Work - The state of California requires your employer to provide time and space (the bathroom doesn't count) for pumping. We'll develop a plan that meets your breastfeeding goals and workplace requirements.
Illness or disability - A plan of action can go a long way; it just takes knowledge and creativity.
More - This is just a sampling of the issues I routinely solve. Give me a call to discuss your unique situation.
